CHANTILLY PARTNERSHIP HAVE WINNER AT LINGFIELD

The Chantilly Partnership's "LADY TAVERNER" got off the mark at last at Lingfield Park on Friday, following up two promising 2nd and 3rd placed efforts on the All Weather track in the Spring with this comfortable two lengths success in The fantasyfellowship.com JIM GILBERT MEMORIAL HANDICAP STAKES over One Mile and Two Furlongs.

Racing on soft ground for the first time, four year-old LADY TAVERNER eased to the front after the final bend and under a positive ride from J-P Guillambert, showed an excellent turn of foot to romp home and defeat the hot favourite Serramanna by two lengths, with stable companion Fortunes Favourite back in third.

Bought by ALGARVE BLOODSTOCK at Tattersalls Yearling Sales in 2002, the daughter of MARJU is now trained by John Long in Surrey, having spent her first racing season with Harvey Cyzer at Newmarket.
