Algarve Bloodstock's first ever Scandinavian Classic entry, DANISH LIGHT (Fantastic Light ex Galette) was beaten into second place in the Dansk 2000 Guineas at Klampenborg Racecourse, Copenhagen, Denmark at the weekend.

Purchased at Tattersalls October Yearling Sales by Algarve Bloodstock for 21,000gns, the son of Fantastic Light is trained by Anna Nilsson at Klampenborg and was runner up to the only Danish-bred horse in the race, Kronhjort (Cajun Cadet ex Stolga).

In the same race RIVER BOY (River Bay ex Sailing Away), also purchased by Algarve Bloodstock at the Deauville December Sales, was fifth.
