The Lord's Taverners Charity, which raises money "giving young people, particularly those with special needs, a sporting chance" has been supported by Algarve Bloodstock with their sponsoring of the East Anglia Region Golf Day at Ufford Park Golf Club in Suffolk.

Approximately £2m per annum is raised across the country by the charity through various fund-raising events, with much of the money being used to supply specially-adapted mini-buses for local organisations as well as other specialised equipment. This was the fourth year of the sponsorship of this event by Algarve Bloodstock, who also support the charity at other events during the year.

The golf competition at Ufford Park comprised of a four-person team stableford event, which attracted teams from across the East Anglia Region, and was won, after a count-back, by Barry Root's Algarve Bloodstock International All-Stars Team, so the prestigious trophy donated by Algarve Bloodstock as part of the sponsorship arrangement returned to its' donors, albeit for a temporary period!
