Racehorses
The club currently has the following horses in training:
BERMACHA (Bertolini Filly ex Machaera)
Our WIINNING two year-old filly in 2007 by exciting new stallion Bertolini was acquired at the Doncaster St Leger Yearling Sales by Barry Root, and was the first of our new horses for the 2007 season. She is out of the Machiavellian mare Machaera (GB), who was unraced but has produced the Black-type performer Megec Blis as well as three other winners, including the useful Squadron and L'Enjoleuse, a twice winner in France.
BENHEGO (Act One Gelding ex Sadaka)
Act One (by In The Wings) was a multiple Group 1 and Group 2 winner as a racehorse and was only retired to stud in 2003 but is already producing some excellent progeny, and our three year-old gelding out of the winning Kingmambo mare Sadaka looks a strong and athletic type. He did not race as a two year-old but is due to commence his racing career in 2008. He is trained by Stuart Williams at Newmarket.
TAPAELLYA (Tobougg ex Confines)
Our filly by Tobougg from the black-type mare Confines (Acatenango) was a WINNER over a distance of 2500 metres in France in 2007 when trained by Henri-Alex Pantall as a three year-old. She was also placed eight times, and now joins trainer John Long for the 2008 Flat Season. A Deauville Yearling Sale purchase for €34,000, she comes from an excellent family which has produced a number of Group Winners in Germany.
Details of further horse(s) to be added to the Club in the coming season will follow soon.
