Racehorses
The club currently has the following horses in training:
BILLBERRY (Diktat Gelding ex Elderberry)
Already twice a winner for its' previous owners and trained by Stuart Williams at Newmarket, Billberry was purchased at the Tattersalls Autumn Horses In Training Sale in October 2009.
He will remain at Stuart William's yard and now runs in the Club's colours, WINNING in fine style on his debut for the Club at Lingfield on 25 November 2009 , and repeating the success there on 27 January 2010.
DREAMACHA (Oasis Dream Filly ex Machaera)
This half-sister to our WINNING Bermacha is by the exciting Juddmonte-owned stallion Oasis Dream, who had 35 two year old winners in 2008, including the impressive Group 1 winning Naaqoos. Owned and bred by Barry and Joan Root, she is also a half-sister to five other winners and looks an active sort as she prepares for her racing career with trainer Stuart Williams. She made an encouraging start in her debut race as a three year-old at Lingfield in the Club's colours in January 2010.
RED SUEDE SHOES (Storming Home Gelding ex Dipple)
The Club initially Leased this three year-old chestnut gelding for part of the 2009 Flat Season, but has subsequently purchased it outright. He has been a consistent performer in his first eight races with trainer Rod Millman in Devon and we hope for some fun with him in the coming months. He was a WINNER for the Club on 12th October 2009 at Kempton Park, and repeated his success by winning their again on 19th November 2009!
